Day 2 of Health and Hygiene Week for Std 1 to 5 focussed on the importance of healthy eating. The day began with an inspiring assembly where students shared thoughts on balanced diets, followed by a skit on “Junk Food vs Healthy Food” where teachers highlighted the benefits of good food choices.
Adding to the day’s significance the boys of Std 5 attended a special session on “Understanding Myself” which aimed at building self awareness and confidence.
Students enthusiastically participated in the “Healthy Plate” project, designing colourful plates with carbohydrates, proteins, fats and vitamins & minerals to showcase the essence of balanced meals .The colourful plates became a vibrant reminder of how balanced meals fuel growth and energy. These plates were proudly displayed, turning the school corridors into a gallery of health and creativity.
To match the theme, the Tiffin Break menu included sprouts chaat and roti rolls with paneer/soya, proving that nutritious food can also be delicious. The day ended with reflection questions, reinforcing the promise to choose healthy snacks and say no to junk.
