Description: As the sunset on the 22nd of Dec 2018 the lights were turned on and the stage curtains drew open to an amazingly decked stage with the theme “THE JOY OF CHIRSTMAS” draped across the backdrop. It was the perfect setting for the ANNUAL DAY programme of St. Karen’s Primary School. With the arrival of the chief guest Dr. Rahul Thakur a renowned children’s Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician and guest of hounour his mother and Mr. D.P Galstaun Director of St. Karen’s School the programme started.
After a few words of encouragement by our respected Headmistress Mrs. L.B Galstaun and chief guest, the programme took off with a melodious choir welcoming the audience with the school song and a symphony of JOY. As the evening progressed the stage came alive with numerous progrmames. The little ones of std 1 and 2 performed to various Christmas songs like I’M THE HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS TREEE. They also displayed their acting skills as they entertained everyone with an adorable Hindi play entitled
“Santa Aata Hai.” Amogh Agarwal displayed his musical talent by playing Jingle Bells on the synthesizer and Robin impressed everyone with his moves .
“THE REAL MEANING OF THE CHRISMTAS SYMBOLS” was a fashion show that very gracefully displayed the various Christmas symbols and their true meaning and what they represent.
“ONE MORE STEP TOMWARD CHRISTMAS” was a medley of dance performances that left everyone tapping their feet and enjoying the energetic and well synchronized dances.
The highlight of the evening was the “NATIVITY PLAY” that had a live choir singing mellifluously in the background as they took everyone on a musical journey of the night when the SAVIOUR was born.
The wonderful anchors Akshika, Prachi and Sampurna kept everyone amused with their witty, confident and eloquent speaking.
The GRAND FINALE saw all the participants fill the stage and move like on entity to a medley of JOY.
Our assistant Headmistress Mrs. Sharon Galstaun was overwhelmed with the success of the programme and gave a heartfelt and moving vote of thanks to all the teachers and everyone involved in the making of a spectacular event.
